• FOOD SAFETY TECHNICIAN

  Our client is looking for a Food Safety Technician to support the quality function. They will be responsible for ensuring that food practices are produced in line with the sites food safety policy whist complying with specification.

   

  Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Operations Managers in their responsibility of food safety
  • Completing the site microbiological sampling schedules
  • Interpretation of microbiological results and completion of necessary product release using WMS system
  • Instigating and completing investigations of non conformances relating to product quality and implanting action plans to prevent future occurrences
  • Carry out a variety of audits (ie: glass and perspex, hygiene, ccp, process, etc)
  • Completion of product evaluation and associated reporting

   

  Person Specification:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised as there is a need to manager several tasks at once
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a small team
  • Good IT skills as there is a need to work with various applications
  • Good time management skills in order to meet deadlines and ensure tasks are completed on time
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene – preferred but not essential
  • HACCP Level 1 or 2 – preferred but not essential

  Salary information: CIRCA 25K on a 3 shift pattern
